Of all the many people who put their names down and paid - I believe only these two are competing this weekend? I remember seeing many people last year put their names up on the Whiteboard registering their position in the Riot games and musing to myself - how many will actually keep their commitment, given the fact that the Riot games are months away; and happens to fall during the festive season from MELBOURNE CUP (November) to AUSTRALIA DAY (26 January). During this period MANY people just want to relax and enjoy life. The weather is great and we all have more time to spend with each other!

There are some commitments in life which aren't significant. Not keeping them won't have massive consequences. But there are many commitments which ought to be kept, no matter if our hearts and minds feel less willing from time to time. Eg. Raising children.

Being healthy and strong requires commitment, a constant commitment. We are reminded of it every day, every time we sit down to eat and drink - the choice is between good stuff or bad stuff! But if we make the decision to choose the good stuff LONG BEFORE those situations come up - then the decision is no decision at all - we simply choose the good. So I encourage to make the commitment to look after yourself regardless of the challenges that come your way this year.
