Over the past few months a number of you have noticed the "renovations" at the box. Where's the fridge gone? Where's the reception desk gone? Etc etc. The layout of the Box has changed from time to time since we opened.
Was it to accommodate more people? Was it to make the Box more functional? While these were factors in the decision making - changes happened because in ONE single little moment - we simply had enough. I would walk into the Box and look at something and say to Keith - I've had enough of that - let's get rid of it. And he'd reply - "ok". And that was it. We would make changes and move on. We didn't and still don't sweat the small stuff in business or life.
When we put things into perspective, the little stuff which often takes up too much room in our heads - are insignificant in the long run. The fluff stuff in our life needs to be taken care of or eliminated as fast as possible! Like the clothes that you have stored in your wardrobe since high school. Yeah some of that stuff not only takes up space in your wardrobe, but also in your head. Clear it out, give it away or donate it. This will create space in your life to receive bigger and more beautiful things.
What things or people are weighing you down or holding you back in your life? What do you need to do to change it?
In my previous working experiences I've seen more than a few couples and families weighed down by the burden of consumer debt. Most fell into the pit because of the lust of their eyes - continually wanting the finer things in life (consumer goods) which were beyond their means. Most would ask my opinion on various investment "schemes" (aka scams) to fast track their road to financial freedom. None ever asked me about how to pay off their debts; or make a better living through education and hard work. They just wanted to earn the income as fast as possible to cover their debts. The desire for instant gratification pushed them not only into consumer debt, but also into purchasing lottery tickets, gambling and into get-rich-quick scams; whereby they would lose even more money.
Generally, if we haven't set the right foundation in our life - such as getting rid of things that hold us back - it's difficult to attract more of the good stuff in life. A few days after cutting up his credit card and paying off the outstanding debt - one of my mates received a promotion at work, and a nice pay rise. He removed the crap, which gave him more room in his life to receive - and the universe gave him the good stuff.
For many people, one of the most significant obstacles to physical improvement lies in the kitchen. When the kitchen pantry and the fridge is out of order - don't even bother about the rest. You might as well just sit down in the squat position and clean out your fridge; because no amount of air squats or sit-ups at the Box is going to compensate for failure in the Fridge at home. Our Fridge has limited capacity. If it's packed with crap, we can't add the good stuff in. So we need to clean the bad stuff out first, which will make room for the good stuff. So have a look in your fridge. What shouldn't be there? Get rid of it and replace it with something good. Then come to the Box and train hard - and you will have an 8 pack in no time.
